At Johnsons of Old Hurst, we’re not only home to a unique and fascinating zoo… we’re also a fully working farm. And soon, our 140 ewes will be welcoming their new lambs into the world!
Lambing Live comes this February, giving visitors the rare chance to witness lambing as it happens. Whether you’re a family looking for an unforgettable day out, an animal lover eager to learn more, or simply someone who wants to experience real farm life, this is an event you won’t want to miss!

Many of our visitors know us for our incredible reptiles, mammals and exotic animals, but Johnsons of Old Hurst has deep agricultural roots, too. Lambing Live is a chance to see first-hand what life is like on a busy farm and learn more about the important work that goes into raising healthy, happy livestock.
You'll get to observe the ewes in the lambing barn, see new-born lambs take their first steps and discover the everyday tasks that keep a working farm running smoothly.
