ANIMAL EXPERIENCES
Explore unforgettable encounters with our exclusive animal experiences, providing an up-close and personal connection with our captivating creatures.
Ideal as a unique gift or a shared adventure with loved ones, the Crocodile experiences are available from March to September. All other experiences are from January to November. Experiences take place on Thursdays & Sundays.

Please note that only one of each experience happens per day which they are offered on. This means availability fills up very quickly. A booking is not confirmed or reserved until payment has been made. Thank you!

Age 5-9
Spend 45 minutes with our zoo keepers, helping to feed a selection of animals!
Experiences can be booked at 11 am or 2 pm.
All mini keepers must be supervised by an adult.

Age 10-15
Spend 45 minutes with a zoo keeper, learning and helping to feed the animals, including... holding a snake!
Experiences can be booked at 11 am or 2 pm.
All junior keepers must be supervised by an adult.

capybara Experience
£80
for 2 people / max 4 people
Age 9+
Two under 16s can take part together but we ask that an over 18 is there is watch and supervise.
Spend 30 minutes with a zoo keeper, learning and helping to feed the capybaras! Includes admission cost. Please be aware that one slot is available per day so bookings fill up very fast!
Experiences can be booked at 11 am or 2 pm...
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays.

Spend 30 minutes meeting and feeding our Crocodilians. Hear all about why we love these fascinating creatures and enjoy a small tour of our tropical house by one of our zoo keepers.
Experiences can be booked at 11am or 2pm.

Age 16+
Spend 30 minutes meeting and feeding our lions. Hear all about their favourite food, fascinating facts plus conservation projects for these majestic creatures.
Experiences can be booked at 11am or 2pm.

Johnsons Gift Cards
Consider gifting the magic of animal encounters with our zoo experience gift cards, ensuring a memorable experience redeemable on the chosen day.
HOW IT WORKS
Purchase a Johnsons gift card via our farm shop stating the desired amount
for example: £100 for a Lion Feeding Experience.
Present the gift card to the lucky individual.
Book the experience via email giving your gift card number for confirmation.
Arrive at Johnsons and enjoy your experience.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All gift cards remain valid for up to a year from the day of purchase.
If amount is not redeemed on an experience, the gift card will still be valid for use in all other locations on the Johnsons of Old Hurst site.
Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Gift cards will not be replaced if lost or stolen.
T&Cs
*All experiences must be pre-paid and booked three weeks in advance.
If paying via gift card, a gift card number will be required at the time of booking.
Experience prices include zoo entry for the individual.
Due to health and safety, lateness could result in losing the full experience plus the full amount pre-paid.
All rescheduling must be made at least a month in advance.
Johnsons Zoo can not be held responsible or reschedule the experience in adverse weather though we will always do our best to make the experience the best it can be.
Once an experience has been paid for, we are unable to offer a refund.
