CAREERS AT JOHNSONS

The Johnson family have farmed and reared livestock in Old Hurst since 1899. Our passion for outstanding quality and sustainable British produce, coupled with a forward-thinking approach to modern farming, is what gives our family company a unique edge. The business consists of a well-stocked Farm shop and Butchers. A tearoom providing a variety of homemade produce serving food and beverages for breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea. Plus a steakhouse which presents an extensive selection of British dishes boasting our home reared venison and beef, for both lunch and dinner throughout the week and offers a traditional Sunday roast. The farm is also home to a modest zoological collection incorporating a tropical house that opened in 2019. We have recently declared the farm as carbon neutral and sustainable farming is at the heart of everything we do.
